Made with 8-1/2'' long shank for good leverage. Lowered the mouthpiece to length the purchase for faster response and to prevent the mouthpiece from pinching the horses lip. Then finished it off with the proper bends for good balance. This mouthpiece is designed for schooling a horse to back off the bit.
