This is my idea of the ultimate competition barrel racing bit! I can put it on a soft mouthed horse using a leather curb strap and get a well balance, smooth run out of him. Then as I sharpen up my curb chains, I can step up the severity of the bit and get more control if I need it. I have used this bit on young and older horses to win a lot of money.
